100% OF YOUR DONATION SUPPORTS THE MSK YOUNG WOMEN WITH BREAST CANCER PROGRAM (YWBC)
The MSK Young Women with Breast Cancer Program (YWBC) is being developed to provide multidisciplinary comprehensive breast cancer care, education, and research for young women with breast cancer with emphasis on long term health and quality of life (QoL) issues for survivors. The YWBC will help patients navigate the healthcare system, streamline appointments, support caregivers, and improve patient QoL from diagnosis through survivorship. We intend to create a digital platform, including a website and mobile application, that offers comprehensive, unbiased, culturally sensitive education on a broad array of breast cancer topics ranging from pre-appointment resources to help patients optimize their clinic visits to survivorship topics such as sexual and reproductive health. We will also include patient education about a myriad of cancer treatments, information on support groups and available services (e.g. Integrative Medicine), and opportunities to participate in clinical trials. This program will also establish a prospective database to conduct research in understudied and often unaddressed areas. The program aims to capture young women prospectively, educate them and capture their long-term outcomes with the ultimate goal of improving the overall patient experience.
